With more than 40 schools across getting hoax bomb threats over the past 10 daysmega swerte, Delhi Police will now train teachers and school staff in dealing with such crises.

"With a brief break after the Paris Olympics, the team is ready to take on the best hockey playing nations in Asia and prove its mettle.

The New Jersey State Police have arrested the driver responsible, who is now charged with vehicular homicide. He is being held at the Salem County Correctional Facility.

An official of the city police announced on Monday that the police would organise a seminar to train teachers and school staff on how to handle such crises effectively and without panic.

The seminar, which will be conducted in collaboration with the Education Department, will be aimed at teachers from both government and private schools.

The training will not only focus on bomb threat management but will also raise awareness about cybercrimes, the official added.

These bomb threats, many of which have been hoaxes, have caused significant disruption in schools. It triggered multi-agency search operations.

"We will teach how to stay calm, react, and coordinate with the police during a bomb threat in schools," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam.

Recurring Bomb Threats in Delhi, Noida Schools

On Friday, several private schools in the Delhi-Noida area received bomb threats. A school in Delhi's Dwarka area was targeted, prompting cops to respond.

Parents were notified not to send their children to school, and alternative arrangements, including online classes, were made.

Similarly, the Lotus Valley School in Noida also received a bomb threat, which led to a search operation by security personnel. No suspicious items were found during the searches.

In total, schools in the capital have received bomb threats six times in the last 11 days. On December 20, a bomb threat was issued to schools in Delhi-Noida.

Earlier, on December 13-14, similar threats were sent to more than 40 schools simultaneously. There was also a bomb threat on December 9 targeting schools in Delhi-NCR.

These ongoing threats underscore the need for effective training and preparedness to ensure the safety of students and staff in schools.

Cops Uncover Student Involvement

The police following investigations revealed that at least three of the threats were sent by students from within the schools themselves. These students reportedly aimed to either postpone exams due to inadequate preparation or to force the closure of the schools.

One of the schools affected by such a threat was Venkateshwar Global School. The threatening email was sent a day after a mysterious blast occurred at the Rohini Prashant Vihar PVR Multiplex on November 28. A police officermega swerte, quoted by news agency PTI, stated that two siblings enrolled at the school sent the email, hoping to have their exams postponed. Following the report, police conducted a thorough search of the school and ultimately declared the threat to be a hoax.
